MDPV (Methylendioxypyrovalerons) ist ein Cathinon und extrem potenter DAT/NET-Reuptake-Inhibitor (DAT Ki ~3,2 nM — vielfach potenter als Cocaine). KRITISCH: MDPV ist kein Substrat der Transporter, löst keinen Reverse-Transport aus und setzt keine Monoamine aus Vesikeln frei (Cocaine-Mechanismus, nicht Amphetamine-Mechanismus). Keine Wirkung auf SERT. Kurze Halbwertszeit (1-2h) erzeugt intensives Craving und zwanghaftes Redosieren mit Binge-Episoden von 24-72h.
