(2R)-2-acetamido-N-benzyl-3-methoxy-propionamide
Lacosamide is an anticonvulsant used for the treatment of epilepsy. It works by the selective blockade of voltage-gated sodium channels, thereby modulating neuronal excitability. The substance is also being investigated for the treatment of neuropathic pain. Side effects are usually mild to moderate and include dizziness and fatigue.
