The production of hash or marihuana oil is much simpler than all the methods I have seen here. Next is a recipe to do oil the way it has been done for centuries. It is a very simple method with no need of strange chemicals, strange equipment or chemistry degrees. It is the way that oil is produced in a small hamlet within the district of Ketama in the middle of the plantations, away from the main roads and must travel through unpaved country roads to reach the hamlets. All family owned and surrounded by grass terraces where they do not grow anything else but MJ with the exception of small gardens beside the hamlets, where edible produce is grown. The oil produced was recognized as the finest ever tasted by anyone who did and it was done following ancient traditions, very simple process, basic ingredients or materials, and the most basic equipment yet the results were the best and anyone can do it just being diligent and not trying to be nor greedy nor innovative but respecting the tradition.

Equipment:

1. One washbowl or large pot metal, wood, clay or any other substance, plastic will do, similar to the typical washbowl used to transport wet clothes to and from the laundry, the type is unimportant since it is the size and permeability that matters since it will be used only to mix the hash, weed with pure alcohol (96� pharmacy or hospital alcohol ethylic- the non poisonous one) and will not be heated.

2. One 2 liter cooking pot preferably a double boiler since its crucial to slow cook it and double boilers or using one wide pot with water directly on the fire and inside the pot with the liquid mix already filtered twice.

3. A store and a place where smell will not bug the community since it does smell some doing it in the countryside or a place without nosy fascist neighbors is good enough, process takes three days, two days resting (soaking-mixing) one day cooking.

4. Filter, strainer, sieve or colander necessary, the type used for coffee i.e. cloth colander or sieve strainer, or improvised cloth sock type or coffee colander cloth type, since it is necessary that there is no powder or solid filtering with the mix.

5. A thin clean round stick to stir straight no spoon or flat complexities.

Materials:

1. Hash / Weed, pollen or buds for potency best 1st quality, not second or third which are two bad and contain too little THC but nor the best either using 0 or 00 type is a waste since you are going to purify it to leave it almost pure THC.

2. Pure Alcohol (96� Pharmacy or Hospital Alcohol Ethyl- drinkable Non poisonous- not Methyl which is the poisonous one).

Proportions 10/2 i.e. for each kilo of hash or strong weed two liters of alcohol.

Method � Process

Put the hash/weed in the alcohol if it is hash better in pollen or grind it so it has no problem soaking in it due to a pressed format. Keep it soaked in the mixtures with proportions as above mentioned, covered only with a towel, sheet of cloth or likewise to avoid the alcohol evaporation outside. The best is to keep is soaking up to five days in place in the shade outside, but protected form animals and persons, the alcohol.

After the five days the alcohol has soaked and extracted all alkaloids from the hash or weed. Then you must strain it. If you strain it once the paste, oil will become thicker faster but hence not so powerful. Even though the mix will be covered the liquid will reduce itself and become dark. Best is to sieve it twice. Then you must double boil it slowly and moving it with a stick or iron tool all the time. This is the slowest and most tedious part of the process, be patient is worth it. Move it around until the liquid becomes thick enough that it start attaching to the stick/toll, but always keep in mind than when you remove it form the heat it will become even thicker so not over cook. Check the color you want it to be not transparent, thick enough and that it is dark brown, red or green, almost black but I insist if you make it too thick as honey when it cools down you will have some oil thicker than honey so you want to reduce it till it is dark, non transparent but not as thick as honey even light honey. You can practice doing some kind of marmalade using fruits and water, sieving it and see what happens when you reduce and it becomes jam. Then you can go and do it with real stuff. The result will be a really thick oil-paste almost pure THC liquid, that just a small needle line mark in the cigarette paper or a small pin head piece mixed with tobacco will be killer oil.

Very simple and the way it was done for centuries. I recommend try first doing some jam using water and sugar instead of alcohol and see when you remove it how thick it becomes it will let you develop and eye. Or you can try practicing also with water and sugar doing caramel and the same you will see how something liquid can become thick, even as hard as candy and you do not want that. This method is the simplest, both in materials, equipment and process-wise plus it is the traditional way of doing oil in the nucleus of the hash and marihuana production area of Morocco, the capital of which is Ketama, Morocco, Northern Africa.
